Fine hotel in the heart of clifton
I've always admired this hotel from beinf on the red bush tour. Its Location to beaches, restaraunts and facilities are great. Stunning views. Well appointed room and beautiful pool lounging areas. Lovely coffee machine bath tub with bath salts provided and comfy gowns with slippers. The pool facing room was a delight at nice. The bar is also great. Staff were friendly.
As it was off peak, a lot of summer facilities were closed such as the summer bar deck downstairs. Room was not ready timeously but reception did make up for it with complimentary drinks which was appreciated. Toilet roll holder was about to fall off wall in our room and needed attention. Small but tolerable discomforts.

Great location, hotel is tired and needs a face lift and the staff need a happy boost!
Great breakfast and amazing location in the heart of camps bay... sunsets.... Housekeeping room clean and managed throughout the stay. They did drop me to town to collect a hire car as the hire companies no longer deliver them to the hotel.
The service was hit and miss at best especially pool side if you could find anyone.. the rooms are tired yet a refurb is being undertaken yet at what level I have no idea - there is a complete lack of proactivity from the staff - if you ask someone will come and assist... They lost so much money from myself and other guests due to the lack of connectivity with clients... Mini bar is complimentary it was 2 cokes 2 juice on day one - oh we dont replace it even if I am happy to pay.. a week later no sign of a refill - coffee ask... it has lost it's shine for sure I appreciate it is at end of season yet the hotel is far far away from where it used to be having stayed their on many occasions previously... Disengaged is probably the best way to describe the experience...
